Event schedule:

The festival is a variation of "O-taue matsuri,"a festival for good harvest of rice in the planting season.

"Heisanbo" is, however, known for its funny ceremony. The ceremony goes as follows.

A horse runs around the shrine building to pretend cultivation (normal "O-taue matsuri" way).Then an farmer called "Heisanbo" comes in and walk around as if he is planting rice.Now a lady "Okame" comes carrying their lunch."Heisanbo" runs after "Okame" with big pestle and poke her with it.After the funny ceremony, normal prayer with girls starts.
